Interesting conditions this summer in the Sierra's, temperatures are hot
and the water level is the highest I have seen it in a number of years.
My take on the lakes, water is too warm near the surface and everything
seems to be hitting deep at least deeper than a weighted leader gets.
I headed for the streams with the fast current and deeper flow and killed
it with weighted nymphs. For some reason shorter leaders worked and
the hits kept coming all the way till dark.
